ARMS OF STATE - THE MONARCHY

Politics of Lesotho takes place in a framework of a parliamentary
representative democratic constitutional monarchy.
The Prime Minister is the head of government and a multi-party system. 
Legislative power is vested in both the government and the two
chambers of Parliament, the Senate and the National Assembly.
The Judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.

The Monarchy

King Letsie III (born David Mohato Bereng Seeiso; 1963)
is the King of Lesotho. He succeeded his father, Moshoeshoe II.
The King was married in 2000 to Masenate Mohato Seeiso (Karabo Mots'oeneng),
with whom he has two daughters and one son.
